Oil and gas exploration requires thorough coverage of well log data, historic production records, scout tickets, core analyses, mud logs, drill stem tests, and base maps that are readily available to the geologist. This data and more are available at the Shreveport Petroleum Data Association, the oil and gas library with the most comprehensive coverage of the Eastern and Central Gulf Coast. SPDA has almost 400,000 well logs covering North Louisiana, South Arkansas, East Texas Districts 5 and 6, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Members are able to view all raster images from the website at no cost.
